Conversations with Ayden

This week I had to attend some training in Fort Worth. Aunt Jennifer was gracious enough to keep both of my kiddos in addition to her two since her house was (sorta) on the way. After leaving on the last day, Ayden wanted to know where Cole went to church (it was a Wednesday). As we passed their church, I pointed it out to him. The conversation then took a comical turn...

Ayden: Where do boogers go to church?

I then try to come up with something to tell him.

Me: Um, in your ears?

Ayden: No!

Me: Uh, in your mouth? (not sure where to go with it)

Ayden: No!

Me: Well, then where do boogers go to church?

Ayden: They go to church in your nose!

A few moments later, after crossing the railroad tracks -

Ayden: Where are the trains?

Me: At home at the train yard.

Ayden: No, they're not. They're at church.

Me: And where do trains go to church?

Ayden: In the trees.

Not sure where this kid comes up with this stuff sometimes.

She's here!

And yes, she has been here awhile now. Forgive me, but I've been a little busy. :) It also doesn't help that we haven't seen our point and shoot camera since a few days after returning home from the hospital. At least I think we saw it at home... I hope we saw it at home...

Keleigh Rene' was born on June 17. Everything went smoothly. Kendall and I arrived at the hospital around 7:40 and by 8:30 I was ready to go. Luckily, my doctor finished whatever she had before me early, so at 9:30 I headed back to get the party started! Keleigh was born at 9:51, weighing in at a whopping 8 lbs 2 ounces and stretching a 20.5 inches. Ayden was the same length, but only 7 pounds, so she looked big to me. The nurse anesthesiologist laughed and told me she had 'thunder thighs'. Guess she started early.

Apparently they do nice newborn pictures in the room before you leave the hospital these days. This was not offered when we had Ayden (at the same hospital), and how do you say now when the pictures were just so darn cute? So since we can't find the pictures taken with our camera, I leave you with the following...

I'm pretty sure he's already smitten.

I know I am!

Love this picture.
