Of course Ayden and Kendall both loved the cool weather. For those who have never been there, it is different than Texas cold. You can easily walk outside when it is 30 degrees in a short sleeve shirt and not think anything about it. So we would just bundle Ayden in a boggin and a blanket and take him outside.
We were often the first ones awake - scratch that- were always the first ones awake. I love how he always wakes up in the mornings in a great mood. The picture below was taken about 6:30ish in the morning. I just love his blue eyes!
As I previously mentioned, he has begun eating the Stage 1 baby foods. The day before we left and one of the first days we were there he had some carrots...
Cousin Cole somehow contracted Scarlet Fever. This is the day Aunt Jennifer called to tell us to watch for the signs in Ayden. So, as his cheeks turned rosy with a slight rash, along with his chin, I went into total flip out mode (I'm sure most of you have been there for some reason or another). I started repeatedly checking under his arms and on his torso for a rash and was concerned about a fever. Luckily, we did not get Scarlet Fever..but we did have a reaction to carrots. So we just have to try them again in a few weeks. He had sweet potatoes for the first time yesterday and seemed to love them. He had peas last week and they didn't agree with him so well...but it is a learning process! He also rolled completely over (back to front to back)yesterday. He sits up a little better, but is still a bit wobbly.
