That son of mine sure knows how to make me laugh, even unintentionally. He wanted to watch something on tv this afternoon, so I asked him what he wanted to watch. The conversation went as such:
Me: What do you want to watch?
Ayden: Water pail.
Me: What is Water Pail?
Ayden: From last night. Water pail.
Me: Son, I have no idea what water pail is.
Ayden: T-O-wather (yes, with the 'h').
Me: Still no idea what you want to watch.
However, at this point I had a pretty good idea it was the show he and Kendall had watched this morning before church, not last night. Everything is last night to Ayden right now. But I couldn't give in to him since he was starting to literally spell it out for me!
Ayden: Say it with me: T (then cocks his head at me until I say it), O (waits for me to repeat), L (again waits for me to say it, but I am trying not to laugh because he is now adding letters), wather pail.
Me: That's how you spell water pail?
Ayden: Yup.
At this point, I go ahead and ask him if it was the cartoon from this morning, which was Avatar. He got water pail because of the characters in it are from a water tribe. I just found this too hilarious not to share. He has a funny way of remembering things. He calls the movie "Up" 'balloons on house' because the main character ties balloons to his house to fly it to Paradise Falls. Crazy kid.
